You've advanced to the next step in our audition process!

 

First of all, watch a full performance of NED's Mindset Mission. To access the video, click on the image below and
enter the password we emailed to you.

Also, we are sending you:

•  3 yoyos (two long-spin Excelerators and a NED Yo)

•  Replacement String (strings on the Excelerator should be replaced after every 2-3 hours of practice)

 

Below is a list of tricks we are most interested in seeing you learn, along with the audition script. To help with the tricks, we created a short instructional video for the tricks we’d like you to learn. You'll find that video at the bottom of this page. Use the chapter list to the right of the video player to jump directly to certain tricks. You may also want to consult the NED's Six Trix sheet to gain some additional tips. Also, please watch this additional great video for some very helpful tips on the best way to load, throw, and catch the yoyo. (Start the video at 1:35 since the first part doesn't apply to us.)
The Basic Throw: VIDEO.

 

In your audition video, you will record three segments.

1. Perform the script sides the way you would for elementary-aged kids.

2. Tell us a kid-friendly joke.

3. Show us your progress on learning the list of yoyo tricks.

 

Submitting your video:

Typically, candidates submit their video by uploading it to YouTube and sending us that link. We just ask that you set the video to unlisted in the privacy settings. Please also ensure that your camera is steady, your sound quality is good, and the background is as neutral as possible. Lastly, confirm the date your video is due.
